Welcome to my website!  Yes, Mom and Dad saddled me with a name I would always have to spell for people.  Not “Elizabeth”, which would have been so easy.  But “Lizabeth” without the beginning “E”.  I once met a woman who spelled her name “Cheryle”… I figured her parents must have taken my “E” and tagged it onto the end of her name.  I’m sure she always has to spell it for people, too.  But at least it’s pronounced the same with or without the “e”. 

It’s okay, though; I like being unique and I always have an opening line when I meet new people.

I started this website for a couple of reasons.  I’ve been out of work for a while, and I need something to keep me creative and productive, aside from being just “busy” checking out employment websites.  This should help me in a number of ways:  I can add website development to my resume, and I can get some exposure… you know, get my name and what I do out in front of people.  Plus, I’ll have an outlet, via my blog, to vent my unemployment frustrations and share some compassion with others in the same boat!
